On-Camera Scene Study & Film Shoot
HangLoose Media On Camera Workshop
Coached by Marvin Karon
WHAT IS IT?
A workshop designed to help actors navigate their way through some basic, concrete, transferable acting skills which will not only serve them well in future but will also be used to put together the raw material to create a polished, professional looking demo reel worthy scene that will serve as a tool to secure agency representation and/or film and television work.
HOW WILL IT WILL BE STRUCTURED?
Part theory, part improvisation, part practical exercises, the workshop will begin by laying in an overview of how to work imaginatively, authentically and successfully in front of a camera. Then, in consultation with the acting coach, Marvin Karon a scene will be selected which will be rehearsed in great detail before being recorded on a sound studio and captured by leading, state-of-the-art technology.
WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF IT?
Four major concepts as well as a dozen other smaller, very concrete ideas that the participant will be able to draw on the next time they get in to audition or on set. A specific set of tools to help participants make the adjustments necessary to work effectively given the demands acting for the camera places on an artist. Finally, the participant will receive high quality footage of a scene that they will either be able to use as a starting point for a demo reel or use in addition to anything they might already have.
